TLXOS RPi IoT is ThinLinX's dedicated-function O/S for the Raspberry Pi v1 and Zero / Zero W.
TLXOS RPi IoT supports all of the protocols that TLXOS RPi (for Pi 2/3/4 only) supports except for Citrix HDX, VMware Horizon and MS Teams, which cannot run on the Pi v1 / Zero's more limited ARMv6 CPU.
Raspberry Pi v1 / Zero models have very limited CPU power, and are therefore generally not suitable for use as either a thin client or for video-based digital signage. However, TLXOS RPi IoT is an excellent ultra-low-cost digital signage solution for still images, and as the name implies is also useful - with the right add-on hardware - as an Internet of Things (IoT) gateway or sensor, or as the front-end of a surveillance system.
As there has been little customer interest in RPi IoT, it has been discontinued, and is now supported only in our Long Term Stable (LTS) branch.
